sugar bowl challenge 7 easter

Here is my entry for the sugar bowl challenge this week the theme is spring/Easter I have used one of the gorjuss girls, some background papers are doodlebug and papermania easter pack, ribbons and flowers from stash and coloured with promarkers. I have used some liquid applique on the top of her boots to make them look like ugg boots!

Here is my entry for spoonful of sugar and lili of the valley both challenges this week have an easter theme. I have used my nieces new stamp that she purchased at the NEC a couple of weeks ago.

Used my retro punches to make the flowers made little scissors snips and put some small beads in the middle, coloured with promarkers.

Papertake weekly challenge sketch 11

Here is my entry for this weeks papertake weekly challenge which gave me an exuse to make my anniversary card (which is in April been married for 19 years this year) and use the stamp that hasn't been inked up yet since I bought it!
Not sure about the colours they are not normally what I would use but enjoyed the layout. Used my lovely promarkers again and a swirl stamp to add a bit more interest and sort of frame around the outside of the kissing couple.
I can't seem to join up my cuttlebug folders when I emboss with them this size if anybody has any times please let me know I get a little frustrated sometimes with it but I dont think it shows up to bad unless you really look. I seem to deboss the last 2 rows when i join up if this makes sense thanks for listening!

christmas and birthdays sketch 24

I enjoyed working with this sketch this week, and I got to use one of my sisters new gorjuss girls that she received this week after selling so fast over at funky kits. I have made this card for my sister in laws birthday in May, I have used my delightful promarkers, nesties, retro punch and dotted them with gelly rolls, cuttlebug paisley folder to match paper and finished off with some polka dot ribbon.

friday sketchers challenge

Here is my entry for this weeks friday sketchers but I didn't post it in time never mind but I managed to finish it for my sister laws birthday in April.

I have used one of my new sarah kay stamps and coloured her with promarkers, I enjoyed working with this sketch and the colours are much brighter and have used glossy accents on my chickens and hen and finished off the flower with a chick in the middle.

dotties world twice as nice

Its show time, a friend asked me to do a card for her friends 50th birthday they are both into ametuer dramatics. She asked me for two 1950's ladies drinking tea and the set it as if it was on stage hence the text 'tea for two and two for tea'
Well i thought of the perfect image straight away now putting the two images together was more trickier, but thank goodness for my 17 year old son who helped me in microsoft paintshop and taught me how to put the 2 images together wow am i impressed i have wrote it all done for next time saved so much cutting. I brightened it up with my gorgeous promarkers found a theatre curtain and added lace around curtains and wording and some lovely black glittered paper for background, very pleased with the result.

Here is my entry for this weeks Pollycraft challenge, I purchased these delightful papers at the NEC last week they really brighten up anyones day. Makes me feel like spring is finally on its way, these stamps are the best I have used so far they take the ink straight off the stamp clean and the give a nice crisp image.

nieces 10th birthday card

after visiting the nec last week which was great fun i purchased some new magnolia stamps which are gorgeous.

I stuck with the cupcake theme idea and used some background papers from a digital download i can't remember the name sorry but they are yummy to and thanks very much.

Pollycrafts challenge 10

Here is my entry for this weeks pollycrafts challenge. I really enjoyed the layout on this card. I have used my new pollycraft stamps which were a present from my sister for my birthday.this is the first time that i have entered this challenge and also used these stamps and I have to say they stamp like a dream.

I have used my promarkers to colour her in and my gelly roll pen to put dots on the flowers my new nesties and martha stewart punch other stuff from stash.

Cute Card Thursday

I have made the card for my inlaws anniversary in april they will have been married for 53 years.

NEC Birmingham

Well ladies only 6 more days to go before I finally get to go to the NEC I will be taking my 11 year old daughter for the first time she is so excited and has been saving her pocket money like mad, I have warned her about wearing sensible shoes and to bargain hunt first lol!
Just wondered if anyone else is going next weekend?

recent cards

A friend asked me to make 3 card for her this week so here they are, a 60th card made with a photo that she provided, a thinking of you and a themed 21st birthday card.

I was really guzzumped because of what she asked me to do for the 21st card but followed a sketch and came up with this I wasn't very happy with this one but she loved it!
