paper and ink

Can anybody tell me what sort of card they stamp on please, when doing there projects please would like to experiment but am on a budget at the moment I just use ordinary card at the moment. Chris over at Sketching stamper made this comment and was very helpful:
I use a coated card to stamp on which has a a very smooth surface, a friend gets it for me so I can't give you a brand I'm afraid but I believe Staples have some, my card is the type printers use to make business cards.
Would like to know what ink people use as well heres another comment Chris said:
For stamping, at the moment I'm using versafine ink it picks up the detail really well and gives a nice crisp image. I don't get on with stazon, I can never get a good image with it. I do sometimes get bleed with the versafine and am going try Memento as I've read this is the best for using with markers.

No 1 suspect

Here is the card I have made for Dotties world using some of the digital downloads that I have purchased over the last couple of weeks with my sister.
I have spent all day wondering what to do, this card is meant to be humourous and not intended to offend anybody. The caption I have put is 'Susie was new in town, and George was a respectable constable,it wasn’t long before people started putting two and two together
& George became no.1 suspect.
Hope you like

Mojo Weekly Challenge

Well I don't know whether I have done right, as I have never entered any of my cards before, but I found this blog by accident as you do whilst reading someone elses blog and bought some of these lovely digital images well I just couldn't resist then I had to also get some basic grey papers and them I felt great from doing a little retail shopping.mmmmmmmm bliss.

Anyway I really enjoyed doing this card and I think I am eligable to enter thier little competition they have we will have to wait and see I have used one of there images and painstakingly cut it out with my craft knife.

One of my resolutions is to use some my craft stuff that I bought a long time ago and haven't actually got round to using yet, I just like to collect some things lol, this is where the background stamp came in I knew it would have a use one day!

Sorry to waffle I am sure someone out there will read this and have a good laugh.
I have used my lovely promarkers again, I so love these pens, the background stamp is from stamp addicts that I bought two years ago and this is the first time I have used it!
I have sponged the sky with a new distressing ink that I picked up while doing a little bit of retail shopping after reading so many of you out there colour with them, spray and lots of other little things well this is another product I like and will be getting a few more of thanks girls.
A few brads that I coloured with my peel off pens as they were gold, cuttlebug embossed dots and denim background paper, nestabilities and peel off letters and a computer generated sentiment, and of course the digital image that I cut out is from http://www.charmedcardsandcrafts.co.uk/ please check it out they have some fantastic stuff on their and they are doing great deals at the moment where you can buy a black and white images and also get the coloured set of the same images free only for a limited time though.
I decoupaged his trousers because I'm not very good at taking photos it looks like the rider has two belts on, oh well it must be the way I hold the camera I am just a beginner!
Then I went and put a few stitched crosses on the top and bottom to add more detail with a gelly roll pen but I don't actually like them as I think I went a little bit OTT but never mind.
Pleased with how the card fell into place though.
What do you think!
Thanks for listening
